Attendance Labs

How-To Guide

Welcome to Attendance Labs. Use the sections below for quick answers and step-by-step help across your daily workflows.

Creating a Class
  1. Go to the Classrooms view and choose Create Class.
  2. Complete the class name, schedule, and location fields, adding notes when needed.
  3. Submit the form to publish the class. You’ll return to Classrooms where the new entry is available immediately.
Tip: Use unique class names so you can find sessions quickly when bulk enrolling or reviewing attendance.
Enrolling Students (Bulk vs. Manual)
  1. Open the class from Classrooms and choose Enroll Students.
  2. Use Bulk Enroll Students to generate a secure self-enrollment link and share it only with your class roster.
  3. Ask students to sign up with their assigned unique identifier (admission or roll number). Keep the format consistent and alphanumeric.
  4. Manual option: If necessary, you can manually add learners from Create Student, but bulk links remain faster and less error-prone.
Taking Attendance
  1. Select the class and open the Get Attendance tab.
  2. Upload a classroom photo that clearly captures student faces.
  3. Submit the image. Attendance Labs processes the photo and marks attendees by their unique identifier, ready for export.
Managing Students
  1. Open Manage Students from the class hub to review the roster.
  2. Remove learners, update notes, or confirm enrollment statuses as needed.
Troubleshooting
  1. Facial recognition issues? Improve lighting and confirm faces are unobstructed before capturing photos.
  2. Performance seems slow? Check your connection and confirm you’re running the latest Attendance Labs release.
  3. Need to find a feature? Use the sidebar navigation to jump directly to Classrooms, Create Class, Enroll Student, or Settings.
